I TESTED : EPILODERM, WAXING THAT DOESN'T HURT

By removing the strips in the direction of hair growth (unlike the classic method), the practitioner avoids the usual pain and ingrown hairs. In any case, this is what the patented technique promises Epiloderm. So, bad or not bad? I tell you about my institute test.

Who has ever jumped for joy at the mention of a waxing session?

I've always gone backwards, so when I was offered to try Epiloderm, an (almost) painless method, I ran in one of the 3000 partner institutes (Calvin & Lane in Bordeaux in this case) to check it with my own skin sensitivity. I knew little about this French brand used by beauty professionals.

His speciality ?

Hair removal with strips of plant-based wax torn off in the direction of hair growth, a technique totally against the grain (dare I say against the grain?) of classic hair removal! Based on the observation that the latter tended to break the hair, Sandrine Azoulay, the designer by Epiloderm has developed its own raincoats and its own two-step method: a first pass in the direction of growth, then a second pass in the opposite direction to grab the down and ensure slower regrowth. The promise ?

A respected physiology of the hair, less sensation of heating and, as a bonus, a progressive reduction of the hair system. So I immediately book an appointment to thin out armpits, half legs et shirt (for that matter).
