NATURAL DEPILAR WAX: 1 PASS OR 2 PASS?
16th January 2020

1 PASS OR 2 PASS?  ESSENTIAL OR COMMERCIAL?

The question arises, I would even say that it is necessary! Finally, it is essential for people who do not know Epiloderm or for specialists marketing all kinds of products without being really specialists in any one. Thus, the ignorance of some and the lack of competence of others sometimes give rise to the birth of surprising assertions:

“Well thought out, good marketing! Double consumption, double turnover! » « A quality wax requires only one pass! “They didn't invent anything. We didn't wait for them! » « I have the same results with my wax which smells good in just one pass! »

We could kick into touch for lack of arguments and logical explanations. We could say that the Epiloderm Hair Removal Treatment was created by a beautician, that it was thought out and tested for years before being marketed. We could pretentiously and indecently congratulate ourselves by saying that before Epiloderm, hair removal did not exist. Even if these assertions are true, they do not exempt us from developing and proving what we affirm.

Although representing approximately 60% of the turnover of an institute, hair removal is the least studied subject in aesthetic schools. Until recently hair removal was a basic service “Quickly weighed, quickly packed! Starting from this observation, it is not surprising to see everything and hear everything.

Epiloderm is not a service but a hair removal treatment. Like any treatment, beyond a specific protocol, it is the result of observations and requires perfect knowledge of the follicular process. Some physiological evidence leaves no room for doubt and relegates a large number of assertions to the rank of salon gossip.

Let's get to the point! The hair is the only element of our body able to be born, live, die, resuscitate and this in a completely autonomous way.

PILLAR_STEM

The hair follicle contains three types of cells:

1) DERMAL CELLS (FIBROBLASTS)

2) EPITHELIAL STEM CELLS

3) EPITHELIAL PROGENITOR CELLS

The structure of a hair is complex

The bulb (hair matrix) is located in the dermis, the trajectory of the hair separates into 2

ISTHMU: Between the bulb and the sebaceous gland

THE PILARY INFUDIBULUM: Between the sebaceous gland and the epidermis

THE HAIR STEM: mainly made up of protein: Keratin

THE LIFE OF A HAIR IS DIVIDED INTO THREE PHASES:

– The Anagen phase: the hair grows continuously thanks to the activity of the cells of our follicle

– The Catagen phase: the duration of this phase is 2 to 3 weeks the hair deteriorates, the follicle dies being no longer nourished by our cells. The hair goes up towards the epidermis

– The Telogen phase: To simplify this phase corresponds to a period of rest, end of life of the hair

1°) 1ST PASS, APPLICATION, WITHDRAWAL.

A hair always withdraws in its direction of growth. Otherwise, we break it and if we escape folliculitis, we inherit a rapid, unpleasant and disorderly regrowth. You don't remove a hair with tweezers against the grain, for a hair removal treatment it's the same.

Similarly, violence and gentleness are incompatible. A band withdraws, it does not tear off. The first passage, allows the removal of hairs in the Telogen phase.

2°) 2ND PASS, APPLICATION, WITHDRAWAL.

The cells of our body are renewed quickly, our hair too.

In the diagram image 6, the 1st hair in the telogen phase is quickly joined by a second hair in the anagen phase, which cannot be removed at the same time as the hair in the telogen phase during the first pass. The removal of the telogen hair favors the appearance of the anagen hair and its removal during the second passage, the softness of the removal being here again appropriate.

It is obvious that only a second pass can remove this second hair, which is often lighter, finer, difficult and which is felt a few days after “Classic” hair removal.

A quality hair removal treatment is the result of an exceptional wax, a precise protocol, a controlled application and a removal adapted to the complexity of the hair.

Hair removal is a treatment that requires seriousness and professionalism. Affirming and guaranteeing an exceptional result without respecting the order of things is either a lack of knowledge on the part of the practitioner which requires in-depth training, or a "COMMERCIAL" desire on the part of certain distributors to sell at all costs, at all costs. and at the expense of a client's legitimate expectations. A promise is not insignificant, it commits to something rare which cannot be mediocre or approximate.
